The Trumbull High School Golden Eagle Marching Band has marched in two presidential inaugural parades, in 2001 and 2009. The Trumbull National Little League team won the Little League World Series in 1989, defeating a heavily favored Chinese Taipei team. The winning pitcher in the championship game, Chris Drury, and his older brother, Ted, both have represented the United States in Olympic hockey. Chris also has been an NHL All-Star and Ted also had a solid pro hockey career. Trumbull resident Chris Soule also has been a Winter Olympic athlete in the sport of skeleton.
